Surface Preparation:

Before applying the patching compound, ensure that all surfaces are dry and free from dirt, dust, oil, mildew, loose paint, old caulk, or any other contaminants. It is crucial to apply the sealant when the surface, air temperature, and sealant temperature are above 40 degrees Fahrenheit and rising. Avoid application on surfaces exceeding 140 degrees Fahrenheit or when rain is anticipated.

Application Instructions:

Utilize a brush, putty knife, or trowel to fill the crack with the patching compound. Tool the elastomeric patch to achieve the desired finish before the product dries. Note that this product is not sandable. Follow these steps for optimal results:

1. Apply to hairline cracks using a clean brush or flexible blade.
2. Tool the patch to match the texture and profile of the surrounding area.
3. For cracks larger than 1/2 inch, use a knife-grade patch.
4. Chipped or cleaned out cracks greater than 1/2 inch in depth should have a non-gassing backer rod inserted.
5. Two applications may be necessary for larger gaps; allow 24 hours between applications.
6. Wait 24 hours before applying a top coat.
